In this example, we are going to generate all the components for 6 doors with formulas and constants with the Counter tool..

The formulas will generate the doors, casings, frames, stoppers, hinges, handles, the paint and the labor.

Create the Counter tool for these doors (save it as a template for future use if needed) and click on the "Estimating Item" tab.
Let's add some Estimating Items by clicking on the "" button.

We are going to insert the first component : The door itself.
The total quantity of doors will be supplied by the Counter tool, hence the [Group Count] variable.
We will now add the other Estimating Items required for installing and painting the door:

Some of these items will feature more elaborate formulas, depending on the nature and use of the item.

For the items "Door-Masonite...", "Door Frame...", "Doorknob - Regular...", "Door Installation" and "Door Painter", the formula will be the simple count of the Counter [Group Count]

For the other items, some measures and constants are required:

For the door stopper, we need 17 feet per door:

For the finishing paint, we have to cover 3' x 7' on two sides ( * 2 ) and apply 2 coats of paint ( * 2 ):
For the casings, we need 35' per door (for both sides):

And so on for the other Estimating Items. Configure the formulas to obtain the appropriate results.

Now, just proceed with the count on the plan(s). For these 6 doors, we will get these results:

And in the Quote report :
